Biochemistry & Biotechnology are the subjects with superlative impact on research in biological sciences. Thus, the major research facilities developed in the college comprise of separate Biotechnology and Biochemistry Laboratories, Pharmacogenomics and Bioinformatics laboratory, and a combined instrumentation facility with capability of Drosophila (fruit-fly) stock maintenance. These labs are equipped with state-of the-art high-end equipments like Dual Engine Thermal Cycler, C1000 Thermal Cycler upgradable to Real Time, Gel Documentation System, Double Beam Bio-spectrophotometers imported from BioRad, USA. A very advanced Ultra Q Water Purification system from Milipore and an analytical grade water purification system from CENCO are installed in the lab. The research lab is well equipped with Animal & Insect cell culture laboratory with two separate CO 2 Incubators (Eppendorf & Sartorius, Germany, respectively) two Inverted microscopes with phase contrast and a Stericlean Vertical laminar Hood with contained environment and other requisite facilities. For Sera storage and cell cryopreservation -86°C Ultra-Low Deep Freezer and a Luminoscan Luminometer for redox analysis from Thermo Fischer Scientific also form the essential part of the research lab facility. The research lab also harbors a dedicated space for routine microbial culture with shaker incubators. The Pharmacogenomics and Bioinformatics laboratory houses state-of the-art computing facility with Wi-Fi connectivity. Most practicals and research experiments are conducted online with softwares available on the internet and various databases.
