The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1999 to cater to the needs of global challenges. It offers highly enterprising under graduate programme leading to various courses.
Further, by observing the emergence of Computer Science as a new discipline and looking at the explosive growth in the field of information Technology, department introduced a new course leading to M.Sc.(Computer Science) in the year 2003.
Department possesses adequate infrastructure, well equipped laboratories with 65 computers and 04 permanent teachers to meet the curriculum requirements. In a very short span of its existence, department has earned the reputation as one of the best learning centres in Nagpur in the field of information science and technology for under graduate students.
The department encourages students to demonstrate creative talents based on realistic approaches. An all round development of student is aimed at with emphasis on the computer application. Students are given enough scope to develop innovative ideas and creative thinking by executing the project during their last semester.
All the teachers are involved in Research. Apart from the regular teaching the department also has Teaching Assistants, Guest Lecturers and other supporting administrative staff to meet departmental activities. Our department students secure at least 2-3 ranks every year in the University examination from its inception. Many students have joined renowned research institutes and Universities for their higher studies.
